Description
Over 19 years ago, Ethel Precht envisioned creating a local walk event to raise funds to provide financial support to individuals in Calcasieu and Cameron who are undergoing breast cancer treatment. That vision, and Ethel’s passion, have helped the annual breast cancer walk develop into one of the largest community events focused on breast cancer awareness.
Last fall, the Ethel Precht Hope Breast Walk of WCCH returned to our community for the first time since 2019. The event raised over $90,000, with more than 2,000 participants. We are proud of what we accomplished last year and are excited to build upon that momentum this year!
On Saturday, October 21, we will proudly host the 2023 Ethel Precht HOPE Breast Cancer Walk of WCCH at the Lake Charles Civic Center. Proceeds from the event will benefit our local breast cancer community, providing financial support to individuals in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes who are undergoing breast cancer treatment.
