Join us in making a lasting impact by participating in Squeeze the Day 5K, a fun-filled event benefiting the Methodist Children's Home of Southwest Louisiana! Your support will help provide essential care, education, and love to children in need. At the Methodist Children's Home, we provide comprehensive, intensive residential services to children ages 12-17 with emotional and behavioral needs. Just as we turn lemons into lemonade, we believe that faith and community can transform challenges into hope and healing.
Every day, we see children bravely embrace opportunities as we guide them towards a brighter future filled with God's love. Your partnership helps Louisiana's children Squeeze the Day! Lace-up your running shoes, and join us in the running toward a brighter future.
Route Description:
The course is flat. Route begins and ends at Sam Houston Jones State Park, running throughout the scenic park grounds.

*Important Note: Proxy pickup is allowed for family and friends with photo identification.
Parking Information
Grab a friend and CARPOOL if you can! It’ll help ease traffic and get everyone to the starting line with a smile.
Parking will be limited, but we’ve got designated areas ready for you. Please note that the road will become one lane along the route in designated areas. Just follow the posted signs and directions from our amazing volunteers to keep things running smoothly.

Awards
Overall: Top male and top female 5k winners will be awarded a $150 gift card to House of Sole. Thank you to House of Sole for generously providing the gift cards for the overall winners! We are grateful for your support.
Age group awards for the 5k: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded in 10-year age groups for males and females as follows: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60-69, 70+.
