CELEBRATION OF EDUCATION: 50 YEARS 5K

Saturday, February 24th, 2018

8:00 a.m. LSU Shreveport
1 mile fun run & 5k Roadrace

Location & Starting Time:  Race starts at the LSU Shreveport HPE Building East Entrance, near the Kings Hwy. fields. The 1 mile fun run will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5k will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Registration:  Early Registration is $20 through February 11th,

$25.00 February 12th – February 23rd,

Race day Registration is $30.

REGISTER EARLY! No shirts guaranteed to late registrants.

T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up: Every pre-registered participant will receive an original long-sleeve t-shirt.

Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum

Thursday, February 22nd from noon - 6:30 p.m., &

Friday, February 23rd from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the race site starting at 7:00 a.m.

Excused Absence (sleep-in supporter): If you cannot be there, but still want to show your support sign up as a sleep-in supporter. You will still receive a t-shirt.

Awards: First Place Male/Female: $100, Runner-Up Male/Female: $75.

 Additionally, 1st and 2nd place male and female in the following age groups also win gift certificates to our sponsoring businesses!

Age Groups:  8 and under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+

Post Party: Make sure to stick around after the race in the heated HPE Gym for interactive inflatables, music, awards, snacks and family activities. Catered breakfast will be available for purchase.

Special Note:  Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation! No dogs are allowed on the course.
