Did you know that men are dying on average 6 years earlier than women for largely preventable reasons? Join us in the movement to make a change for men’s
health!
LSU Health Shreveport’s Urology Interest Group will be hosting the First Annual Mustache Dash 5K on December 4th, 2021 to raise money for Movember, the leading
charity for men’s health. Movember is a globally run organization that aims to tackle the funding gap that exists for men’s health through funding projects and research that address prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. By 2030, Movember aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.
We hope that our fundraising efforts will not only make an impact globally but will also impact our local community through education and awareness efforts leading up to the
5K.
Mustache and Beard Competition
The Movember Foundation promotes growing your mustache or beard for the month of November to promote awareness for Men's health and suicide awareness. So grow your own or put on a fake one and decorate for our competition. The most creative Men's and Women's Mustache/Beard will win a prize! TBD
T-shirts
**Deadline for Guaranteed T-Shirt is November 19th!**
There will be no extras made, so please sign up before the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt.
