Description

CrossFit Catch will be hosting our 3rd annual fundraiser for Rylie’s Dream Team to raise funds for a type 1 diabetes cure. The event will be held on Saturday, June 27 from 9-12:00pm. The “Catch Us If You Can” 5k run or 2 mile walk will start at 9:00am. There will be one water stop during the race, and refreshments post race. Each participant will get a finisher medal. There will be prizes for the top 3 females and top 3 males!

The “Rylie” Crossfit WOD (Workout Of the Day) will start at 10:15am. The CrossFit WOD is free, but donations in any amount are welcome. There will be a raffle table filled with premium prizes. All proceeds will be donated to the JDRF foundation.

Rylie's Journey and JDRF:
On September 29, 2012, shortly after her 5th birthday, Rylie was diagnosed with type one diabetes. The past seven years have been challenging but through it all Rylie has remained brave.  Her dream is to one day say "she used to have type one diabetes".

We're taking steps to help JDRF progressively remove the impact of type 1 diabetes (T1D) from people's lives until no one has to fear developing this disease. By making a donation to JDRF, you'll raise money to help fund critical T1D research and create a world without T1D.

Type 1 diabetes is a life-threatening autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas stops producing insulin. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and changes life as they know it forever. It cannot be prevented and there is no cure.

JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic research plan to fight T1D. Every dollar JDRF is able to direct toward research comes from donors like you.

The challenge we've set ourselves - to raise money for JDRF and to run/walk - is modest compared to the daily challenges of life with T1D, which involves a 24/7, unrelenting cycle of blood sugar testing and insulin injections to manage the disease.

Will you accept the challenge to make a difference? Just click on the sign up button. If you are unable to make race day, but would still like to contribute please click the donation button.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you on race day!
