A Day for Greys - Virtual 5K/Sit-In

The GREY2K USA Education Fund is hosting two events for the greyhounds on the same day! Join our worldwide race or sit-in to end dog racing and win big!  

• The first 100 registrants will receive one of our new greyhound-themed face masks plus a greyhound adoption button to wear! 
• Join our Dogs Should Only Run for Fun Virtual 5K Race that enables supporters to run, walk or bike in their own communities to help raise funds for greyhound adoption. Use your smartphone to track your time with runners, bikers and walkers in real time around the world. Compete for the best time or take a leisurely stroll with your dog or stroller at your own pace.  Use Map my Run to find a route near you. Registrants will receive a special Run For Fun Greyhound Champion medal to wear after their race.

• Participate in a global sit-in to protest the cruel confinement that greyhounds are forced to endure in racing kennels. Spend a day confined in a virtual "cage" measuring 43” x 30” x 32." We will send you stylized blue floor tape to lay down the correct dimensions. Your challenge will be to spend at least 20 of the 24 hours in this space, because racing greyhounds spend up to 23! Registrants will receive an official greyhound pen and pad set as our way of saying thanks.

• Use https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/search to find a route near you. 
• Registrants must carry a cell phone to use event timing and tracking options, but this is not required to participate. We will tabulate all entries and announce the winner and top fundraisers via social media on Monday, August 24.
• Earn $250 or more in sponsorships and receive your choice of a Greyhounds Should Only Run For Fun Mesh Shirt or Home is Where My Greyhound Is Tank or T-Shirt.
