Reach Out and Run 5K

Welcome to registration for the 5th Annual Reach Out and Run 5K Run/Walk sponsored by Medway Community Church!!! This race offers the chance compete on a fast course, support some great local organizations, and have a morning of fun for the entire family. Our 5K course is USATF certified and sure to make for an exciting race!  This year, we will also have a KIDS RUN for the little ones once the 5k wraps up so be sure to bring the younger ones along too.

This year’s event will occur on Saturday, August 24th.   

• 33% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Medway House Family Shelter, a program of SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council).  The Medway House is an emergency shelter for 12 homeless families at a time.  In addition to providing shelter for families, the staff assists families in acquiring permanent affordable housing, as well as, counseling, education, vocational, and social services and referrals.
• 67% of the proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Franklin Food Pantry and the Medway Village Food Pantry, which both support those facing food insecurity in the Franklin/Norfolk area.

All participants who register by August 3rd will be guaranteed a Reach Out and Run 5K shirt that you can pickup with your race bib on race day. The registration fee for adults is $25. Children 12 and under are $10. The cost for adult registration increases to $30 after August 3rd. 100% of your registration fee will go directly to Medway House, Franklin Food Pantry, and Medway Food Pantry. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate you can click on the Donate button at the top of the page. A limited number of race t-shirts are available for purchase through the race store linked at the bottom of the website. Those proceeds going directly to the organizations. 

Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finisher as well as the top finishers in each age group. 

So...…running a race is not quite my thing. What else do you have going on? This event is truly for the entire family and community! Non-runners and families are invited to:

• Participate in the 5K walk portion of the event
• Cheer on our racers at the start and finish line or along the course
• Participate in fun activities like crafts, and games
• Have the kids run our kid-sized KIDS RUN
