Santa Stampede 5K & Kids 1mile At-Home Edition

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Santa Stampede will be virtual only.

We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well! For seven years we have had the loyal participation of many area runners in the Santa Stampede. We are looking forward to running with you again and hope you and your family find some joy running this year's Santa Stampede at home!

Besides the run, we've kept the three best aspects of the race for you! Our HUGE bag of prizes, the costume contest and the T-shirt which will be modified to commemorate the CRAZY of 2020!

This year, participate in the virtual race for just $10! Kids 12 and under are just $5 and we have a free Kids 1 mile race! Your contribution supports the Orleans Chamber of Commerce, the organization that builds, promotes and supports Orleans businesses. We've been doing double duty since COVID started and we are counting on your continued support!

You can choose to run your virtual 5K (3.1 miles) anywhere you choose. After you run, be sure to submit your results to the results page. You can run your 5K any time in the month of December.

The best part of the At-Home Edition of the Santa Stampede is YOU get to choose the course. Be as creative as you’d like to be. Perhaps your course will be a 1.55-mile out-and-back, or 3.1 mile loop, or it’s a 3.1 mile point-to-point with a loved one waiting at the “finish line” to celebrate your success give you a ride home. No matter the course you choose, it will be the best one!

For help creating your own 3.1-mile course, consider utilizing an online service like Map My Run or On the Go Map. Or take a stab at our race route in East Orleans during the month of December!

Please do not make plans to complete your At-Home 3.1 mile run on the race route on December 5th! We ask that you run, or walk, seven miles at home, in your neighborhood, or on our race route at any time during the month of December, safely. Thank you!

COSTUME CONTEST INFORMATION

All runners with bibs can submit a photo of their costume for our Famous Costume Contest! Share your pic publicly on Facebook or Instagram with #santastampedeorleans we will gather them to have runners vote on the winner on December 15th! So you must sign up before then to get in the contest!
