Mon January 1 - Wed January 31

Events

Description

Brought to you by Sun Multisport Events producers of the Barn to Run Trail Race Series, the Barn to Run Winter Challenge is a virtual event that invites you to start 2024 with a 5k or 10k run, walk or hike on January 1st... OR, for a goal that motivates you through the month, the option to run, walk or hike (or bike!) 26.2, 50, 100 or 250 miles between January 1st and January 31st. Sign up for the month-long challenge and you'll be able to log your activity on the Results page throughout the month as you move closer and closer to achieving your distance goal.

Because this is a virtual event, HOW you do it (run, walk, hike or bike), WHERE you do it (on the road, the trails, a treadmill) and WHEN you do it (within the designated period) is all up to you! No matter what event you choose, the price is the same... and so is the swag! All participants receive a soft cotton, long sleeve t-shirt and a Barn to Run drawstring bag and the first 50 that sign up receive BONUS swag. See below for details.

YOUR SWAG

All participants in the Barn to Run Winter Challenge will receive (1) a long sleeve, soft cotton t-shirt (a great base layer for outdoor winter running!) and (2) a Barn to Run drawstring bag. You must register by December 31, 2023 to receive the long sleeve t-shirt. Registrations received after that date will receive the Barn to Run drawstring bag and a Barn to Run knit beanie. All swag will be mailed the week of January 15th.

BONUS SWAG for the first 50 that register!

The first 50 that register will receive an extra swag item which could be either a promo code for a pair of Darn Tough Vermont socks (any size, any style), a Barn to Run winter beanie OR Barn to Run arm warmers. We have 20 Darn Tough promo codes to distribute, 15 Barn to Run beanies and 15 Barn to Run arm warmers. These 50 bonus swag items will be randomly distributed to the first 50 that sign up.

WEEKLY DARN TOUGH SOCK GIVEAWAYS

Every week of the 2024 Barn to Run Winter Challenge the name of one registrant will be randomly selected and be sent a promo code for 1 free pair of Darn Tough Vermont socks -- any style, any size with free shipping!

UPLOADING AND TRACKING YOUR RESULTS

Upload your time (optional) and distance to the Results page of the Barn to Run Winter Challenge page on RunSignUp here.  After registering, select the event you’re signed up for, search on your name, log in and then post your activity. The results submissions period begins on January 1st so you will not be able to complete this process prior to then. Curious about last year's results? Click the results tab to see them.

If you’re doing the 5k or 10k on January 1st upload your results when you are done (technically, you have until January 31st to add them, but why wait?). If you’re participating in the 26.2, 50, 100 or 250 mile challenge, you should add your run, walk or hike distance and time after each session and the RunSignUp system will keep track of your progress.

Click here for additional guidance on how to upload your results to the RunSignUp platform that is hosting this event.
