The Big Run

On June 6, Fleet Feet Annapolis, as well as other Fleet Feet stores nationwide, in partnership with Brooks and Nuun, will hold a super fun run 5K!  This is a family friendly event and we celebrate and welcome runners of all abilities and levels.

Fleet Feet Annapolis will host their 5K Fun Run on Wednesday, June 6 at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis at 6:00 PM! This is not a chip timed event, but we will have a finisher's clock at the end.

PARKING/DIRECTIONS: Registration includes the vehicle fee to drive into the park. Just let them know at the gate that you're coming for the Big Run! Meet inside the park at the Sassafras/Red Maple Pavilions parking lot. It will be the FIRST RIGHT after you go through the gate (there will be a sign). Additional parking will be available at the Sycamore Pavilion, which is the SECOND RIGHT after you go through the gate.

COURSE: The run will take place on the Quiet Waters paved path/trail. The course is a loop and will start/end at the pavilion. Most of the path is in the woods, so you may want to wear bug spray. Water and Nuun will be provided at the finish line. There will not be a water stop on the course, so please plan accordingly. A map of the course is available at Fleet Feet Sports, but there will be course monitors and signs along the way to guide you. It is a mostly flat course with a few small hills. The course is stroller and dog friendly.

BATHROOMS: There are restrooms located next to the Sassafras Pavilion parking lot where we will be meeting.

WARM UP: Instructors from FIT4MOM ANNAPOLIS will be leading a fun, voluntary warm up prior to the run! Even if you aren't a mom, they will get you warmed up and ready to go prior to the start of the run! If you'd like to participate, the warm up will begin between 5:45-6:00 pm.

FINISH LINE: After you finish, you will receive your race medal. Water and Nuun will be provided. Our friends from ATHLETA and NUUN HYDRATION will be in attendance with giveaways! CHIRO 1ST CHIROPRACTIC will also be there to provide information on their chiropractic, physical therapy, and massage services! RESULTS UNIVERSE will also be there and have information about their personal and group training programs! There will also be a backdrop for post-race photos and a social media contest.

FOOD & BEVERAGES:  After the run, head across the street to ANNAPOLIS SMOKEHOUSE, who will be offering food and drink specials just for us! Show them your bib to receive the deal! It's also Trivia Night, which starts at 8:00 pm! They are located in the shopping plaza on Hillsmere Dr. 

BIG PRIZES: We can't have a BIG RUN without BIG PRIZES!

Participants will have the opportunity to enter a raffle at the run for a chance to win a FREE PAIR OF BROOKS RUNNING SHOES courtesy of our friends at Brooks! We will also be raffling off a GIFT CERTIFICATE for dinner for four people at CHEVY'S Mexican Restaurant! 

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTEST: Social Butterflies are encouraged to take pictures at the run and post on their social media for a chance to win one of three pairs of GOODR POLARIZED SUNGLASSES! Just tag #thebigrun @fleetfeetsports and @brooksrunning at the Big Run to be entered for a chance to win! 

REGISTRATION PRICING:

Registrants age 13 and up:   $25 = Receive a shirt + bib + finisher medal

Registrants age 6 - 12:   $5 = Receive a medal + bib 

Registrants age 5 and under:  FREE =  no giveaways included

Please note: Shirts are adult uni-sex sizing. Sizes available are XS - XXL. Quantities of each size are limited and size requested cannot be guaranteed. 

***If you try to select your shirt size during registration and that size is sold out, you can either select a different size OR you may register without a shirt by selecting option "NONE" on the shirt selection page. Once you get to checkout, enter code "NONE" to receive registration pricing WITHOUT a shirt. You will still receive a bib and finisher medal.

PACKET PICK UP: You can pick up your bib and shirt at the fun run on Wednesday, June 6th at Quiet Waters Park. Please arrive early! You will receive your medal at the finish line of the run.

Sorry, no refunds, but bib transfers are allowed. Please contact Fleet Feet Annapolis at 410-268-6290 if you need to transfer your bib.
