At our live race on 4/26/2025 we ask you to walk or run in honor of the lives and legacies of all those who have been impacted by ALS. If you're not yet comfortable in a group environment, or just can't be with us on race day, please participate as a Virtual Racer.
Fundraising and team options are available during registration.
Please note: we offer complimentary entry for PALS (People living with ALS) and their primary caregivers. Please email info@brigancebrigade.org to join us on race day!
Each year, we rely on our annual events as a primary source of funding. We hope you will join us in 2025. We are stronger together!

Fundraising Teams
Each person that registers for the Brigance Brigade Championship Race can become a fundraiser! You can include your friends, family, and coworkers in your support of the fight against ALS. Peer-to-peer fundraising is a vital component of the 5.7K Championship Event that makes our work possible. Please encourage your friends and family members to make a contribution to your individual fundraiser. There is no minimum amount required, but we encourage each individual fundraiser to strive to raise $157.00 or more, and each team to raise $1057.00 or more.
How it works:
- Register for the race and create an INDIVIDUAL fundraiser (this happens during registration). Name your fundraiser, add an inspirational message, and set a goal.
- Encourage your friends, family and co-workers to contribute to your fundraising efforts by visiting the Brigance Brigade Registration page and click DONATE. There, they can search for your fundraiser name and donate to your total.
OR
- Register for the race and create a TEAM fundraiser (this happens during registration)
- Encourage your friends, family and co-workers to register for the race and join your team. They also become fundraisers and their fundraising efforts are combined with yours.
- Those that don't want to register for the race can make donations to an individual on a team OR directly to a team.
If you create a Team Fundraiser, you are the captain for that team. Check your email for a Fundraiser's message containing further instructions.
Please contact andrea@bluecheetahtiming.com for questions regarding fundraisers
TEAM CAPTAINS - Create a custom URL to share with your friends and encourage them to register/donate. This is done when you set up your team, or contact andrea@bluecheetahtiming.com for assistance.
Virtual Race Info
What is a Virtual Race?
Virtual races are for anyone who can't be with us on race day! Out of town, busy that day, or not comfortable racing in a group environment? Register as a virtual racer!
A virtual run means you choose your course and time of day to run or walk - your place, your pace! On April 26, 2025 we will be accepting results for your 5.7K or 1.57 mile. You can start any time of day and use the RaceJoy app to track and submit, or use your phone, fitness tracker, or treadmill readout to show us your distance and time.
Those registering prior to April 15 will have their race materials mailed to them in time for the event date. Those registering 4/16/2025 and after will have their items sent out as soon as possible after registration. We will make every effort but we cannot ensure they will arrive by April 26. You will be informed via email of your planned bib number for tracking and result submission purposes.
Submitting Your Virtual Results
TRACKING AND SUBMITTING YOUR VIRTUAL RESULTS
Using RaceJoy to track your race and submit your results:
We’ve made it easy to upload your results to the Virtual Event, using RaceJoy. You’ll need to download the RaceJoy app: https://www.racejoy.net/download (or choose your favorite App provider) It’s available for your Android or iPhone.
When you’ve downloaded the app, set up your profile (Name, City, Email Address, DOB) so that RunSignUp can let RaceJoy know that you’ve registered for a race with RaceJoy Tracking. You can also set up a Tracking Number (optional) so that your friends and family can send you messages of support while you are completing your virtual race.
Once you have confirmed your race and distance on RaceJoy, that’s all you need to do until you are ready to race!
RACEJOY will go live approximately 1 week before Race Day. All those registered will receive an email with further information at that time.
ON RACE DAY:
The results are open starting on 4/26/2025 and will remain open for 1 week so you can run your virtual race and submit your time! Open the app and confirm your race. Click START TRACKING to let the app know! You will see a message that tells you to turn off your WiFi on your phone; the app runs solely on cell phone connection. If you keep the WiFi on it will skew the tracking.
That’s it! As you complete each mile, RaceJoy will give you an audio status update. When you have completed your distance the app will let you know your completion time and automatically send your results to RunSignUp for inclusion in the race results. If for some reason your results do not upload automatically, you will see instructions for uploading them manually. You can also send a screenshot of your results to andrea@bluecheetahtiming.com
Don't worry, we will be sending out instructions via email shortly before race day!
