HL Kappa Cares Annual 5K

With the continued importance of social distancing stemming from the worldwide coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk event will be held virtually.  Our priority is the health and well-being of our community, volunteers, spectators and sponsors.  We are excited to host our first Virtual 5K Fun Run/Walk and 15-mile Bike ride (traditionally known as our Annual 5K Fun Walk/Run).

The event will be hosted by the Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and will take place throughout the first two weeks of the month of October 2021. The event will feature a 5K Walk/Run and challenging 15-mile Bike ride.  All registered participants will receive a downloadable race bib and the official H/L Kappa Cares Fun Run/Walk/Bike T-shirt  that will be received by Participants post-race.  Participants must register by October 16 2021 & upload a photo of them doing their event with their finish time to the race website (alternatively email: 5k@hlkapsi.org).  Proceeds from the event will be used to support our chapter’s Guide Right and Scholarship programs and the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Registration is $30, donations are also welcomed.
