BikeAround Downtown Columbia Spring 2023

Hop on your bike and enjoy the trails and pathways of Downtown Columbia and Oakland Mills. Start at Color Burst Park in Downtown Columbia, roll around Wilde Lake and over through Harper’s Choice, then circle back and join the multi-use parkway to wind back to Color Burst Park. This just over five mile course is perfect for the family or novice cyclists as well as those of you with more miles under your wheels. 
 
Join us as we launch our Fourth Annual BikeAround Downtown Columbia weekend with a Block Party on Saturday, May 6th at Color Burst Park from 9-12. You can ride the course to or from the Block Party, but it will be open and marked from Saturday the 6th at 9:00 AM until Sunday the 7th at 6:00 PM. 
 
The Downtown Columbia Partnership, the Howard County Office of Transportation, Columbia Association, and more will be on hand to help you make cycling a bigger part of your transportation, fitness, and recreation routine. Register in advance for and check-in on site to be entered in a drawing for a Trek E-Bike!
 
Timing: There is no group start time for BikeAround. The official timing for the event is 9:00 AM on Saturday the 14th to 6:00 PM on Sunday the 15th. Please start as early or late as you like. And feel free to ride the course more than once.
 
The Course: The course starts and ends in Color Burst Park. Thanks to the Columbia Association’s Open Space team, the path will be marked so you should not need to refer to the turn-by-turn directions.
