Race Moved To Virtual For Weather

Dear Sponsors and Participants,

Due to the weather forecast for Ocean City on Sunday which include 30mph wind gusts with a 96% chance of rain, we have made the difficult decision to move the Run the Boards Like Rob Event to a fully virtual event.

We know many of you were looking forward to joining us in person and we apologize for the inconvenience. The safety of our participants, volunteers, and supporters must come first.

All event shirts will be mailed to participants next week.

Your registration continues to support the memorial scholarship established in Rob's name, helping honor his legacy and impact on our community. We are grateful for your support of this important cause.

If you prefer to receive a refund due to this change, please reply to this email no later than this Friday (October 9) evening and we will process your request.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting the Run the Boards Like Rob Event. We appreciate your commitment to honoring Rob and supporting future scholarship recipients.

Sincerely,

Jayme Block and Paul Schultheis

Suddenly on October 16, 2015, Rob Schultheis lost his life in a tragic accident while out running. Rob loved life itself. The most important thing in life to him was the people that surrounded him. Those people were his family – didn’t matter if they were actual family members or not! This is what Rob loved about the Eastern Shore. That was just part of his extended family. He grew up on the other side of the bridge but when he graduated from Salisbury University in 2000 – he never came “home.” He made a new life on the Shore and really enjoyed the friendships and new “family” that he found there. Rob involved himself in almost anything he could. Rob gave 110% to everything he did – especially his family, but he always had time to help out in the community. It was more than just something to do – it was a great way for him to bond with his friends and really helped to mold him into the man that he became. He was a great husband, son, brother, dad, and friend. We know that he would be almost embarrassed to have all this fuss about him today – because he wasn’t about recognition. He was just about being Rob. We wish more people Lived Life Like Rob!

All virtual participants will receive their swag AFTER the event on October 20th. All virtual participants will receive a digital bib to download and run with, to show our solidarity and in remembrance of Rob.
