Maryland Gold Star Mothers invite you to join us as we remember and honor our Maryland fallen heroes, their mothers and families with our 2nd Annual Virtual 5K walk/run fundraiser.
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
If you joined us last year you know the drill but here is a quick reminder:
- Registrants will run (or walk) the race distance at any location they choose (treadmill, neighborhood, local park) between October 8th and October 10th.
- If you would like to be listed in the results make sure you are tracking your time and distance. You can do so with a watch or running app (example: Garmin watch, Strava App).
- Make sure you run the whole distance (3.1 miles for a 5K) - you don't want to do all that work and come up short.
- You will then be able to report your time via text or email (if opted in) or through the runsignup.com result page. Results will be automatically updated as race times come in.
- You can share your pre and post race photos on the runsignup.com photo page.
- A digital bib as well as a finishers certificate will be available to print and/or share on social media.
- Benefits of a virtual run include: no travel, no parking, no long lines at the porta-potty and food line!
- EXTRA benefit of this virtual run: knowing you are supporting Maryland Gold Star Mothers.

There are no refunds of entry given or transfers of entry permitted for this event.
*Shirt and medal availability only guaranteed to those who register before September 10th.

*All packets that are not picked up at the Packet Pick-up will be mailed to participants starting on September 28th. You will have an option to donate $5 to help offset the cost of shipping.
SUBMIT RESULTS
Registrants will be able to submit their results through text or email (if opted in) or through the runsignup.com results page from October 8th through October 10th (11:59 Eastern Time). You must run your 5K (3.1 mile) race during this time period to be listed in the official results. If you have questions about submitting results don't hesitate to reach out to us at events@charmcityrun.com.
SHARE PHOTOS
We would love to see your photos both before, during and after your participation. You can share your photos when you report your finishing time or by visiting the runsignup.com photo page.
