RaceJoy Ready
Your neighborhood. Your favorite trail. Your treadmill!

CHANA’s Race Against Abuse is VIRTUAL, again! Please join us on Sunday, May 9, as we raise awareness about domestic violence, sexual abuse and elder abuse, and fundraise for CHANA’s mission to empower survivors! Lets rally together to end abuse in our community.

What is a Virtual Race?

No traffic, no parking problems, no crowds. You choose the starting line, the distance, and the time. CHANA's #RaceAgainstAbuse is the perfect chance to join the community in support of survivors of domestic violence and abuse.

Just because can’t officially “be” together, doesn’t mean we can’t “come” together as a community to support the important mission of CHANA.

Share your training progress with us in advance of race day on our Facebook Page, @ChanaBaltimore

Join us, Sunday, May 9th - Mother's Day - and don't forget to track your time and route using the RaceJoy app (more information coming soon!). Feel free to use your own running apps such as GarminConnect or Strava on the actual day. The important part is to join in on this great opportunity to get outside and exercise and support those in your community that need it the most!

As one of our largest fundraisers of the year, CHANA depends on the #RaceAgainstAbuse to help fund our crisis intervention, emergency shelters, counseling, legal advocacy and safety planning services. While this is a difficult time for all of us, many of CHANA’s clients are in a heightened state of danger due to being isolated in their homes with their abusers. Participating in CHANA’s #RaceAgainstAbuse is a way to stand up against domestic violence in our community, be a voice for those who are suffering, and let them know they are not alone!

Register for our Virtual Race Against Abuse and/or Donate now to help us hit our $50,000 goal!

Help CHANA Reach Those in Need During COVID-19

Every day at CHANA, we are committed to the health and safety of all members of our community.

During the pandemic, there has been a dramatic increase in domestic violence and abuse. The number of individuals seeking support from CHANA has doubled and the need for emergency shelter is up more than 150%.

Throughout this crisis, CHANA's doors have remained open and we continue to provide a full spectrum of essential services. Help us ensure that help is always available and no one is turned away.

CHANA offers a Jewish response to the needs of persons who experience abuse: physical, psychological, sexual, financial or spiritual.

CHANA provides crisis intervention, education and consultation, and advocates for community awareness, safety and healing. We envision an aware and responsive community where all individuals are empowered to live with security and self-determination.

Because of your support, more victims will be helped. More young people will learn about healthy relationships. More people will find safety, healing and hope. Thank you.
