MSW Hike-a-Thon

The MSW Hike-a-Thon challenges our students to get out and explore nature in our neighborhoods, Central Maryland, or even far away from Maryland on a Spring Break trip.  From April 2-24, 2022, MSW students will hike on trails in local parks and wooded mountains, track and upload their miles to earn prizes, and encourage their friends and family to support them with pledges to raise money for our school.  

How it works

Hike: MSW students and families will make a plan to get out in nature and hike on trails of your own choosing.  You decide the difficulty of your hikes and choose destinations, days, and times that work for your family.   You also have the option of joining some MSW planned hikes at local parks, organized by MSW families.  It's always more fun to hike with others!  For an updated list of organized hikes and to register so hike leaders know you're coming, visit the Hike-a-Thon webpage.

Fundraising: Once your student has a goal of how many miles they will hike between April 2nd and 24th, they will ask family and friends to make a financial pledge to support them.  Donations can be made online through your personalized Hike-a-Thon page, or offline through checks and cash.
