Commit to Community Kids Obstacle Course
Description
This year the Commit to Get Fit will become the Commit to Community, Supporting Victims of Violence and Abuse. While the name is changing, the event itself will still take place in September and include the Kids Obstacle Course, 5K Walk, 5K Run, and 10K Run. All money raised through this event will fund the St. Joseph Hospital's Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) program. Every participant, every donor, and every sponsor will be helping people in eastern Maine who require help from the hospital's SAFE nurses.
Help Raise Funds for the SAFE Program and Get Some Great Thank You Gifts!
We have made it easy for you to become a fundraiser for the St. Joe's SAFE program. The fundraiser who has raised the most money by the day of the event will receive two deluxe tickets to the Waterfront Concert of their choice for 2025.
This year those who raise $250 or more will receive a Commit to Community cotton baseball cap, those raising $500 or more will receive a deluxe Commit to Community 22 ounce insulated aluminum water bottle, and those raising $1,000 or more will receive their choice of a premium cotton sweatshirt or windbreaker.
How to raise money to help victims of sexual violence? The marketing team at St. Joe's has created a terrific video that will walk you through each step of setting it up. This superb DIY video is short and spot on. If you watch this, you will find it quite easy to raise money. We promise!
