Description

The Ann Arbor Track Club has two (2) youth programs taking place this fall:

1. Ann Arbor Track Club youth program cross-country training. This group meets at County Farm Park on Monday nights, Nichols Arboretum on Wednesday nights, and Lillie Park (South) on Thursday nights. Athletes need to be at least 7 years old, who turn 8 this year. See the AATC Flyers website for details.

2. Ann Arbor Track Club youth program speed camp. This group meets at the University of Michigan Ferry Field outdoor track (1150 S. State Street) on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. This program is restricted to middle-school and high-school athletes who compete in track meets in the sprint and hurdle events, with a few exceptions. Athletes need to be at least 10 years old to participate. The size of this program is also limited to 20 athletes.

The AATC takes the health of its participants and coaches seriously. Currently, we require proof of full COVID vaccination (two shots plus boosters) OR a weekly negative COVID test for participation. Please bring proof of vaccination to the first workouts session attended. Athletes who are on record as being fully vaccinated and boosted no longer have to be tested, unless a member of their family household tests positive for COVID -- in which case they will need a negative COVID test before arriving at practice. Every athlete who is not fully vaccinated AND boosted needs a negative COVID test before they start the season and get tested every week until they are fully vaccinated AND boosted. if a member of their family household tests positive for COVID, they will need another negative COVID test before arriving at practice. Any modifications to this policy will be communicated promptly to coaches and parents.
