Additionally, there will be a top finisher medal for males and females for both races in the following age groups: 12 and Under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. We also have a Handcycle Division and award for the top Male and Female racer in the 5k/10k. All results will be posted on the Run Sign Up page.

Results will be live during the race and posted on this website. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will take place at the facility with the blue #1 between 0700 and 0755 on Sunday. Simply give our race team your name and they will give you your bib and shirt. We will have some fruit, pretzels, and beverages on hand. Please don’t be late…we must start on time.

Course

Course maps is pictured below. We have worked hard to make sure that everything is clearly marked and have added a few more markings and volunteers this year to try and prevent any confusion. We will talk through the course maps prior to the race as well; if you have any questions, please ask at the pre-race meeting. The 10k route completes two loops for the course. Best of luck to all runners!

Race Bibs

Your assigned bib MUST be worn at all times while on the course. It may not be folded, trimmed, or altered in any way. We have safety pins to affix them to your shirt or you can connect them to a racing belt. Please wear on the front of your body so they are visible at all times. Alterations will result in a disqualification.

Arrival and Event Parking

There is a BIG change this year; our race has moved to the Fort Custer Training Center (not the National Park). All runners please use the main gate on Denso Road; there is a map and address to use below. Since we are hosting the race at a military installation; please know that you and your vehicles are subject to search. It came as a shock to some last year when Battle Creek Police and their dogs searching vehicles on the way in... please be advised - Non-prescription drugs, alcohol, and weapons of any type to include ammunition are PROHBITED. Even though marijuana is legal now within the state; it is still federally illegal and therefore prohibited on the installation. All members arriving on post must either be registered runners or the registered runner must email travis.kowalski@us.af.mil with names of spectators and the spectator must be able to provide a REAL ID. Once you arrive at the gate you will be directed to the parking areas on the map. Once parked, please make your way to registration (Point #1 on map) for packet pick-up and our pre-race meeting.

Ear Buds / Personal Music

The Battle Creek Patriot Run is a closed course, so personal music is 100% authorized! Please be careful; especially while running on unpaved areas as there is some uneven terrain and we do not want to see anyone get hurt. We will have a 5k and 10k pace car as well as a medic on the course to make sure none of our Battle Buddy’s or Wingmen get left behind!

Aid Stations

There will be 2 aid stations on the course providing two opportunities for nourishment on the 5K and four on the 10K. Aid stations will have water, Gatorade, banana's and pretzels. We will also have some military members along the course to cheer you on! If you need assistance at any time during your race, please see closest person in uniform for help.

Weather Forecast

While the weatherman is not always 100% accurate, we are all excited for a wonderful day! In the event of rain, we will continue to run as planned. If there is lightning before the race, we will set a 20-minute timer and postpone the race. After 3x lightning delays we would unfortunately have to cancel. Lightning during the race will result in immediate closure and we will assist members back to their vehicles for safety.
