Description
The Lilac Festival 5k run/walk is a great event for all. Nice flat course for speedsters or walkers. The only race in America where every finisher gets a lilac seedling!
The Lilac Festival is a chance for families to come out and do something fun, as a hometown, family-friendly event. The fun begins on Friday June 6 and continues all weekend. Saturday the festival gets into full swing with the parade at 11 a.m. Other events on Saturday include a car show, and a great juggling act. The vendor and craft show will be available Friday through Sunday. Join us on Sunday as the festival wraps up with the 5k run/walk! The run/walk will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Awards - Overall male and female and top 2 in each age group:
T-shirt included with early registration entries. (You must register by May 25 to guarantee a t-shirt.)
Finisher awards for everyone - a lilac seedling!
Packet pick up race day morning starting at 8:00 am
Proceeds support the Lilac Festival.
Please, no dogs on the course or at race HQ.

Route
Our course is flat and fast out-and-back. Start at the Farmers Market, out on Renwick to Marion. Left on Marion. Over the river to Coolidge. Right on 20th Ave south to 19 Mile. Turn around and return to the start/finish.
