Open water swim training with Swim Happy!
Whether you are training for your first short-distance triathlon or your 100th long-distance triathlon, the Open Water Practice Swim is a great opportunity to get in some quality training in a race-like setting without the pressure of a race!
200-meter & 400-meter courses will be set up at Island Lake State Park, home of the Island Lake Triathlon. Swim around once or do multiple loops. The course will be open for 1.5 hours.
Your registration fee includes an Epic swim cap and post-event snacks.

Directions
Island Lake State Recreation Area, home of the Island Lake Triathlon, is an epic training destination, ideal for any athlete preparing for a multisport event. Set within a 4,000-acre park in Livingston County that offers an “up north” experience without leaving southeast Michigan. The terrain is a mixture of open brush land to mature hardwood forest, with some pockets of open meadows mixed in with a paved road of rolling hills weaving throughout. A triathlete's training dream.
