Description

Join us for our 1st annual Superhero 5K/Family Fun Run. Dress as your favorite superhero and spread joy while running to support the work of My House Ministry & Reach for Recovery. At My House Ministry, we provide a restorative program in safe & sober homes for women & children breaking free from the cycles abuse, addiction, poverty & homelessness. At Reach for Recovery, we are dedicated to helping individuals and families in their struggle with alcoholism and chemical dependency. Everyone has access to the same specialized care, and our fees are based on what you can pay. Together, we are restoring hope and self-worth so women can break free from the chains of the past and embrace a new beginning. We are also partnering with I Still Run, a mental health non-profit that gives opportunity for others to "carry" loved ones with them during the run via putting their loved ones name on a bib. This is a great way to give purpose to someone's run and also put mental health at the forefront of it. You will be supporting 3 organizations to better your community.

Our hope is to raise $20,000 to provide addiction counseling, safe and sober housing, and life skills for women in addiction recovery. It takes $200.00 a week to support one woman in our My House Ministry Program. We are one of the few organizations in Ottawa County to provide a faith-based transitional housing program just for women and their children. Like Reach for Recovery, we accept women from any county. Your support will help shed light on the lack of transitional recovery housing for women in Ottawa/Allegan Counties and the need for increased recovery support in our community.

Together we can help women in recovery willing to actively participate in their personal, spiritual, and emotional growth, who seek to make permanent change in their lives.

You will receive a goodie bag of local discounts and running goodies, I Still Run bib, and a shirt (if ordered by Sept. 30th)! Plus a finisher medal.
