Description
As we faced the inevitable task of canceling our events, while taking on the larger struggle to protect public health and save lives, Ascension Borgess Hospital is reasserting its commitment to wellness and the community.
With the support of our other race sponsors and our community partners, we are offering refunds to runners and walkers in all of our canceled May 3 events.
And we are pleased to announce our commitment to conduct our events in May 2, 2021.
Registrants may also choose to donate their registration fees to our children’s charities and the Ascension Borgess Foundation to provide medical treatment and relief efforts associated with the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.
Our children’s charities — Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo, YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo and Ascension Borgess Foundation Healthy Babies — are all local, all helping children and all health related. We have given more than a quarter million dollars to these organizations since the founding of the Kalamazoo Marathon
