Michigan State Police Precision Driving Facility

Description
Tour the Michigan State Police training facility by participating in the Michigan State Troopers Assistance Fund (MSTAF) 5k Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run.
The 5k begins at the Precision Driving Facility. Race participants will make their way around the 1 mile flat drive track and then tour the MSP property for the remaining 2.1 miles. The race will finish on the drive track. The Kids Fun Run (100 meter dash) will take place on the Drive Track. All children participating in the Kids Fun Run will receive a medal. Cost is $5.00 per child (cash or check). Sign up begins at 7:45 A.M. , Kids Fun Run starts at 10:30 a.m.
Packet Pick Up and Race Day Registration: Friday June 15 from 5-7 pm at the track, 7426 N. Canal Road Lansing. You can pick up your packet Race day morning beginning at 8am. You can also sign up for the race at Packet Pick up and on Race Day morning. Entry fee is $25 after June 1 and $30 on race day.
Michigan State Police will have displays showcasing their areas of expertise. You’re sure to see a lot of police cars and state troopers! Free kids games and prizes!
All proceeds will support Michigan state troopers and other Michigan first responders when tragedies strike them or their families. MSTAF is a 501 ( c)(3) charitable organization. All donations are tax deductible.
Accurate 5k. Race is timed using RFID tags by the Michigan Running Foundation. Timing mats at the start and finish. Live results. Sign up online and your results will be text to your phone. Results also available after the race at Playmakers.com.
Awards: $100 CASH prize to 1st place Overall Male and Female and $50 CASH prize to second place overall male and female. Top place in each age group will receive a medal. Age groups; 12 & under, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

Governor's Council Endorsement & Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge
This race is endorsed by The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and part of the 2018 Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge. The challenge encourages Michiganders to engage with events that promote physical activity, health and wellness. You will receive a FIT point for every endorsed event you participate in or volunteer for from January 1, 2018 until December 31st, 2018.
