Race day registration and packet pick up will start at 7:30 am.
Accurate scenic 5k on the Lansing River Trail. Chipped timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
The first annual Kids for Youth Sports 5K run/walk is a fundraiser for The Unleashed Speed Track Club. Proceeds from the race will go toward scholarships for athletes, who may not be able to afford the whole cost of participating in their respective sport. And, will also help to cover travel expenses to send Unleashed Speed's student-athletes to the 2016 AAU Junior Olympics in Humble, Texas.
Any residual money will go toward the future 'Unleashed Speed Track Club Essay Scholarship' or donated to any cause that fits core values of The Unleashed Speed Track Club.
*$500 Scholarships to be offered to 2017 seniors of the Lansing School District if funds are available.
