Run For The Troops

Join Emma Murphy Elementary and the Girl Scout Troop #78041 on April 19th for a fun run through beautiful Lapeer! This will be a gun timed event, official times will not be recorded. We will start at the beautiful Rowden Park just minutes North of Downtown Lapeer, the course will take you on a paved path that is stroller friendly, across downtown and through bird land before hoping back on the path and heading home but not before rounding the park to the finish line! Included with your registration is your choice of Girl Scout cookies, a fun Girl Scout themed race bib and Girl Scout inspired medal. All proceeds from this event go towards helping the Girl Scout Troop of #78041 and the renovations of Emma Murphy Elementary's playground. Missed your chance to order cookies? The Girl Scouts will be onsite with cookies available for purchase, Doghouse Coffee brewed coffee will be complimentary along with post race beverages and snacks.

RACE DETAILS

PARKING: There is limited parking at Rowden Park, please do not park outside of a designated parking spot. If you notice that the parking lot is full upon arrival please exit the park by making a left back on to M24 and another left into Trinity United Methodist Church. Parking here will offer you a short 1/4 mile walk to stretch the legs before the race. 

Bathrooms: The park will have public restrooms available, please be courteous to the park and other race participants who have to use them. Clean up after yourself, don't throw trash on the floor, do not  flush things that should not go down a drain. Let's try to leave the park in better condition that we found it.
