5th ANNUAL RUN 4 LAKEVIEW 5K RUN/WALK MEDIA RELEASE
We regretfully wanted to inform the public that the 5th annual Run 4 Lakeview 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1 mile run will not take place this September (2020) due to Covid-19. This run began with and commemorates the designation of Marquette and Lakeview Arena as Hockeyville 2016. Proceeds raised originally went to Friends of Lakeview which has helped to fund new water bottle filling stations, a dryland area and a beautiful new lobby, among other things. The last few years, the funds raised have gone to Marquette Junior Hockey’s Financial Assistance Program. This program allows young players, who otherwise could not afford the costs, to participate in our hockey program.
We would like to thank our previous sponsors and hope that you will continue to sponsor us in the future. Marquette’s Lakeview Arena was recognized as the winner of Kraft Hockeyville USA for 2016. During this time our local community rallied behind the rink, while gaining state and national support along the way. We want to celebrate Lakeview Arena again this year with this Fun Run
