Humane Animal Treatment Society - Racin' for Rescues

Fri October 16 - Sun October 18 Mount Pleasant, MI 48858 US

Place

1105 S Isabella Rd
Mount Pleasant, MI US 48858

Description

The Humane Animal Treatment Society presents "Racin' for Rescues" a virtual run/walk challenge! We may be racing separately, but we stand together for the animals! Participants from across the country can run or walk throughout the weekend of October 16, 17, and 18 (we recommend a goal of 10 miles for the weekend!) around your neighborhood, on the treadmill, through one of Mt. Pleasant's beautiful nature trails, or anywhere else you choose!

Participants who still want a safe "in-person experience" are welcome to join us at Island Park on Saturday, Oct 17th anytime between 10-11am. Look for the HATS table set up near the tennis courts. You will be able to pick up your event t-shirt, bandannas will be given out to pets, route maps will be available, and you can take a photo to be featured on our social media! You may then begin your walk/run on your own, or join our HATS Super Staff Team at 10:30am for a 2 mile walk on the Downtown Park Circuit route. Masks will be worn and we will enjoy a safe walk with our pets. We would love to see your pets strutting their stuff in support of their fellow companion pets still searching for forever homes.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 for the animals and we need your help to do it! Each year we rely on your support to provide safe shelter for over 1,000 homeless animals and perform spay or neuter surgery for over 2,000 community pets. Your participation will allow us to continue saving lives by adopting pets to forever homes, reuniting lost pets with owners, placing vulnerable pets in foster homes, and providing emergency medical care for those that need us most.
