Description
Out with the Old - In with the New...some new, some old, but you're sure to have fun!
NEW LOCATION: Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA) Building, 500 E 2nd St, Rochester, MI
Fun run/walk 5K course is a mixture of rail trail and dirt trails through the back of Bloomer Park, mostly flat. This is a 2 day event, with an option to run one day or both!! Same course but switching directions will give it the feel of a totally different course. Participant Cap = 270 each day
Tuesday- Dec. 31, 2024 OUT WITH THE OLD - DAY 1 unique finisher medal
Wednesday - Jan. 1, 2025 IN WITH THE NEW - DAY 2 unique finisher medal
BOTH DAYS - DAY 1 + DAY 2 unique finisher medals will fit together
Registration and check-in will begin at 7:15 am inside the RARA building each day
Race will begin at 9:30 am on the Clinton River Trail behind the building each day
WHAT IS "CUPLESS RACING"? - This race will be an opt in "Cupless Racing" which means if you carry your own personal hydration system you can get refills at the aid station. If you don't carry your own personal hydration system you can use the provided single use cups. If you would like to lessen the environmental impact of this event you can opt in to cupless racing by purchasing and using the reusable Hydrapak cup at this race as well as other events and your own training, hiking, concert going etc. Hydrapak cups can be purchased during the registration process for $4.00 each.
Out With The Old
- WORLD FAMOUS T-SHIRT TRADE: Participants are encouraged to bring an old race shirt (clean, of course!) and take a shirt. Let's recycle those old shirts sitting in the drawer or back of the closet.
- Light finisher snacks and water will be provided
In With The New
- Waffles and mimosas will greet you after the finish!
