Wake Me Up Before You Go Go 5K Run/Walk

Race day check in will be from 8:00 am - 9:15 am.  5K will start at 9:30 am

Grab your leg warmers and neon sweatbands or don your Ghostbusters T-shirt for the 80s-themed “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go!” 5K Fun Run at Bloomer Park! The can’t miss event takes place at 9:30am on Sunday, September 15, and is the City’s first-ever 80s 5K fun run.

In honor of the City’s 40th birthday, we’re going back to our roots with everything 80s! DJ Devoe will be spinning hits from legends like Madonna, Michael Jackson, Wham! and more. Attendees will get exclusive event themed swag, and even a fun 80s themed medal at the finish line. As the community’s very first park, Bloomer Park is the perfect place to spend the day with your family and friends, run along the three-mile course and embrace all of the park’s natural beauty, and celebrate our City’s proud history. Whether you want to run, walk, or participate in our shorter fun-walk course – we have something for everyone!
