Description
Join us for a 5K and/or 1 Mile Run/Walk in the heart of Annandale during one of the greatest Independence Day celebrations in the state of Minnesota! Annandale's Firecracker 5K and 1 Mile Sparkler Run/Walk is a family-friendly yet competitive event. We are excited to announce NEW courses this year, beginning and ending in the heart of Annandale's 4th of July Celebration, Annandale Municipal Park.
The Firecracker 5K & 1 Mile Sparkler Run is a fundraiser supporting the St John's Lutheran Church Children, Youth, and Family Fund, as well as other groups around the city of Annandale that support the event. Over the last few years close to $2,000 was donated to the Annandale ISD Activities Fund, the Annandale Ambassador Program, and the Annandale Police Reserve.
Prizes
Top 3 Male and Female finishers in both the 1 Mile and 5K:
1st - $100 and event picture frame
2nd - $75
3rd - $50
Fastest Stroller Mile (Male and Female): $40 and Event Picture Frame
Fastest Combined 5k + 1 Mile time (Male and Female): $40 and Event Picture Frame
Best 4th of July themed attire (Male and Female) $40 and Event Picture Frame

Race Shirts are NOT included with your registration fee. They are available for purchase until June 22nd, 2024.

Parking
Street parking is available near Annandale Municipal Park, however we recommend parking at Annandale Middle School (125 Cherry Ave N, Annandale) and walking down to the park.
