Green Lake Kids Triathlon

Green Lake Kids Triathlon--for ages 3-!

Spend the morning around Green Lake in Spicer, MN at this fun, exciting event! The Green Lake Kids Triathlon event happens on a family weekend--the adult tri is the next day. The kids' event is coordinated and managed by The Willmar Aquatic Racing Stingrays--an area age group swim team that benefits youth from the surrounding communities. All proceeds and donations to the event go to this organization, supporting competitive swimming, scholarships, and aquatic events in this area.

Packet Pick Up Friday,  Aug. 9th,  5-7 pm, Pavilion at Saulsbury Beach, Spicer

Race Day Packet Pickup 8:15am-8:45am, Pavilion at Saulsbury Beach, Spicer

Race Start Time 9:00am

AWARDS AND GIFTS: Participants who registered BEFORE JULY 10 will receive a t-shirt. All participants will receive a goodie bag. Top 3 finishers in each age group receive a medal. Awards' ceremony location TBD.

COURSES:
Swimming takes place in shallow water along the public beach area. Parents can be in the water anytime. Bike and run course for bottom 2 age groups is in a closed setting for safety reasons (Saulsbury parking lot). Older bike routes are in a residential area in Spicer. No helmets permitted in the water.

Transition areas are limited to athletes and parents of athletes under the age of 7. Children 7 and over may NOT receive assistance in this area, not adhering to this may result in athlete disqualification. Race volunteers will be available in the transition area.

AGE GROUPS

Boys and Girls Combined 3-4 yr old Distances: Swim 20yd, Bike 1 lap, Run 1 lap
Boys and Girls Combined 5-6 yr old Distances: Swim 50yd, Bike 3 laps, Run 1 lap

**Ages below have separate girls' and boys' divisions**
7-8 yr old Distances: Swim 75yd, Bike 1mi, Run .5 mi
9-10 yr old Distances: Swim 100yd, Bike 2mi, Run .5 mi

11-12 yr old Distances: Swim 150yd, Bike 3mi, Run 1 mi

Elite Heat 7-12 yr old: Distances: Swim 200yd, 3mi, Run 1mi
