The UMN NROTC Eagle and Anchor 5K is a fundraiser for the University of Minnesota Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Midshipmen Battalion. This organization is made up of Naval ROTC students from the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas who are all committed to service in the United States Navy or United States Marine Corps. We develop college students morally, mentally, and physically for service in the Navy and Marine Corps in order to ensure the lasting protection of the United States. This race will be a fun and safe way for the public to support our future naval officers. Proceeds will go towards various important events for our midshipmen, including field training exercises and drill meets.
Throughout the race, race guides/referees will help ensure the safety of racers and keep them directed on the appropriate route. Water will also be provided at the start/end point of the race. There will be a complementary barbeque at the conclusion of the race as well.
*COVID-19 Mitigations: Our 5K Team has worked hard to make sure this event will be as safe as possible by taking all the necessary precautions to help combat COVID-19. We will follow the current CDC guidelines and will provide masks and hand sanitizer for participant’s convenience.
