Description
Do you enjoy Girl Scout cookies? Then the Cookie Run 5K is the event for you! Join us at Waterfall Park in Independence on Sunday, March 5 for this fun event that raises money for local Girl Scout troops and treat yourself to Girl Scout cookies for after the run! Participants will enjoy a great course at Waterfall Park in Independence and will compete for age group and overall awards! All finishers will get a cool Cookie Run finishers medal! Don't miss this fun event that includes a kids run after the 5K for kids 8 years old and under.

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will be from 10am-2pm on Saturday, March 4 at the KC Running Company store (200 E. 135th Street in KCMO), and on race morning near the start/finish from 7:00am until the start of the race.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers as well as the top overall male and female masters finishers. Age group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups:
10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over.
Awards not picked up at the event will be available for pickup at the KC Running Company stores beginning on Tuesday after the race and continuing through the end of the month.

Participant Information
You will be able to pick up your Girl Scout cookies, if you ordered some when you registered, at packet pickup. You will be able to exchange your shirt for a different size out of the leftover shirts in the packet pickup area after the race.
Race day parking will be in the main parking lot for the shopping center near the start/finish on Bass Pro Drive.
The 5K will start at 8am and follow a course that we will share soon. The Kids Run will be after the 5K at approximately 9:15am. Please do not bring your dog to participate in the race. We like dogs but our insurer doesn't like the tripping hazard created by their leashes. You can run with strollers but we would ask you to start towards the back to reduce congestion. If it is determined that it is not safe to run due to weather, there will be no refunds or transfers.
You can check your results after the race by holding the camera on your smart phone over the QR code on your bib number to get your results! A link to race photos will be posted to the website and emailed out after the race. Age group awards will be available for pick up at the race but will not be mailed out.

Kids Run
Sign your kids up for the Kids Run after the 5K! Kids run participants receive a participant shirt and finishers medal and run in waves, based on their age, ranging from approximately 50-200 yards.
