Online registration for the VIRTUAL 4.01K Race for Financial Fitness is now open!
This year 4.01K racers will participate remotely. We appreciate your cooperation with national, statewide, and local guidelines on social distancing due to the COVID-19 virus.
Racers will track their progress to 40.1 km from May 2 to May 16 using a virtual race map featuring well-known Kansas City landmarks. Not only will you see your mileage, but you will also be able to see how you stack up against other participants! Can't go outside to run or walk? No problem! The platform can convert other physical activities to count towards your final goal. Prizes will be given to top participants in three categories: Fastest Time, Highest Total Mileage, and Most Funds Raised.
The first 4.01K Race for Financial Fitness™ - Kansas City was held in 2016 to raise funds for innovative experiential JA programming — because every child deserves to believe in themselves and have the tools to thrive. Junior Achievement's volunteer-driven programming equips students with the knowledge, skills, and capacity to be successful in today's economy. In its fourth year, the race brings JA Champions from across the metro region together to power possibility for the next generation of leaders!
Funds raised benefit Junior Achievement's youth financial education and workforce readiness programs in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 RESPONSE UPDATE
JAKC adheres to Kansas City, Missouri guidelines on social distancing to minimize the spread of COVID-19. We undertake these measures for the health and safety of our students, volunteers, and community. This event will not be held in person as previously scheduled. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we shift to a virtual race to empower the community to engage with and support JA students!

Race Details
The 2020 race will be remote. We appreciate your cooperation with national, statewide, and local guidelines on social distancing due to the COVID-19 virus. Put in your miles by being active in your neighborhood, parks, or home!
The race platform will take participants across a map featuring well-known Kansas City landmarks. Not only will you see your mileage, but you will also be able to see how you stack up against other participants! Can't go outside to run or walk? No problem! The platform can convert other physical activities to count towards your final goal.
The race director reserves the right to cancel the race, and no refunds will be given.
PRIZES
Prizes will be given to top participants in three categories: Fastest Completion Time, Highest Total Mileage, and Most Funds Raised.
