The Grizzly Run has been switched to a VIRTUAL RACE ONLY
While we were looking forward to seeing everyone at The Grizzly Run, we have made the decision to turn the 1st Annual Grizzly Run into a virtual run. We are diligently working to change all registered participants to a virtual runner status. What does this mean for you? You have the option to run the 5k wherever and whenever you want on April 18. It is our goal to make the Grizzly Run a fun, family event for all! We invite you to share and post your virtual run pictures and stories!! #grizzlyrun
We are working on the details of getting you your race swag, so please be on the lookout for more details. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support! We will miss the experience of running together this year, but please stay healthy and safe and we will look forward to an amazing 2nd inaugural Grizzly Run in 2021.

DESCRIPTION:
The Grizzly Run is new to the Kansas City race scene, but will soon become an annual tradition. The family-friendly, fun and fast 5k is a Garmin certified course sure to help you achieve your personal best.
Grizzly Run is a fundraiser for the Growlin' Grizzly Booster Club and Gateway 6th Grade Center. All funds raised from the race go toward supporting student growth both academically and socially.
WHO: Grizzly Run is operated by the Growlin' Grizzly Booster Club and a team of dedicated volunteers.
THE COURSE:
The Grizzly Run 5k run/walk begins and ends at the North Kansas City School District Activities Complex near Staley High School. You will enjoy this paved and scenic route with springtime views and sounds unique to the area, ending with a final lap around the track. Healthy refreshments, music, and food trucks will available. Chip timing provided by Bodies Race Company.

Parking
Parking will available in the Staley High parking lot. Parking attendants will be available to assist.
Pets:
While this is the Grizzly Run, Pets are not allowed. Please leave your furry family members at home.
Accessibility:
This course is paved and is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. Please no bikes.

Packet Pick-Up
Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th from 4:30 -7:00 pm at Gateway 6th Grade Center (9201 N Indiana Ave, Kansas City, MO 64156) in the small gym. Please do not attempt to pick up your race packet during school hours, they will not be available. If you are unable to pick up during this time, packet pick-up will resume on Saturday morning at LOCATION TBD from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
Race Day Registration ($35) is available at LOCATION TBD starting at 8:00 am & ending promptly at 9:00 am
