Emerge Everyone Virtual 5K

Emerge Everyone provides free fitness classes and personal training scholarships to individuals with intellectual disabilities in the St. Louis/St. Charles County area. Now, more than ever, we know how important it is for this community to keep moving and maintain its health and fitness levels.

Many events and facilities which provide health services to this population have been canceled and closed, so Emerge Everyone is now hosting a VIRTUAL 5K to help raise funds for a 12 week personal training scholarship for one of our athletes, continue to raise money for future scholarships, and keep EVERYONE moving. ALL money raised from this event will go to the Emerge Everyone scholarship fund, so the more we raise, the more scholarships we can provide. Let's see how many scholarships we can create together!

To participate, register for the 5k on the website and keep track of your steps and/or runs. Screenshot proof of your progress and upload it onto our FaceBook Event Page, so we can all cheer you on and keep track of your work! (5k in steps will be considered 3500 steps).

Emerge Everyone Athlete Scholarship Award: The athlete who receives the personal training scholarship will be randomly selected from the list of athletes who register and complete the 5k within 3 weeks time. ADDITIONAL WAYS TO EARN MORE NAME BALLOTS: Athletes also have the opportunity to provide the donation link to Emerge Everyone to the public. For every $10 an athlete has donated in his or her name, another ballot with their name on it will be included in the drawing! On the donation website, there is a line for people to write in who the donation is in name of. Please instruct your donors to write your first and last name, followed by Virtual 5k (ie. John Doe/Virtual 5k).

General Public Personal Training Award: Because we know EVERYONE needs a reason to get moving, and we also know many people have had their races canceled, we want to provide the general public an opportunity to participate and WIN! If you are a Non Emerge Everyone athlete, simply register for the event, complete the 5k, and send out the donation link to everyone you know! Whoever raises the most money for our personal training scholarship fund will win 3 free personal training sessions ($250 value) at Emerge FItness Training! Please instruct your donors to write your first and last name, followed by Virtual 5k (ie. John Doe/Virutal 5k).

Ideas on Fundraising: Share the event and the donation link through email, Facebook, and Instagram. Also, you can add the donate button using our donation link to your Facebook profile, and upload the link to your Instagram bio.

Accepted forms of proof of progress: Screenshots from the Strava, RunKeeper, Nike Run Club/Nike Training Club, MapMyRun, and FitBit apps, and IPhone/Android step counters uploaded into the FaceBook Event Page all work!
