Run/Walk A Mile in my Shoes

This is a One Mile Race held at the Smithville High School parking lot on June 10. This is a morning of age group heats that are run every 15 minutes, beginning at 7:30 am. $200 in gift certificates will be given. $50 to each overall male & female under 40, and Master Overall female and male over 40. Awards given for first three places in each 5 year age division. Finishers receive a Team Wyatt bracelet.

Oldest age group first, 50 & over at 7:30, 40-49 at 7:45, 30-39 at 8, 20-29 at 8:15, 19 & under at 8:30. If you cannot run the mile in 15 minutes, please consider doing the benefit walk at 9 am for Wyatt Fisher.  Age divisions start every 15 minutes, so don't miss out seeing your favorite runner leave & arrive.

Packet Pickup: Saturday 9-5 at Cherrine's Hair Etc, 110 N Bridge St downtown Smithville.  Also 6:30 - 7 on race morning at the high school.

All walkers participating in the Walk take off at 9 am, from the Smithville High School Parking lot and continue on Campus. Wyatt Fisher suffered a Cerebellar Hemorrhage from a stroke shortly after birth. At 15 days old, he had his first brain surgery inserting a subgaleal shunt to drain fluid from his brain. Before he was 7 weeks old, he had two more surgeries: a VP shunt and a gtube. Wyatt is now 15 months old and he is a fighter! He has Cerebral Palsy, Cortical Visual Impairment, Plagiocephaly, and Hydrocephalus. Join our organization on a RunWalk to benefit his family. They are constantly going to the Children's Mercy Hospital for checkups to multiple clinics and he has just received his second helmet.

Bleachers will be available for sitting.  Music provided by BandK!  Come early - stay late and then you can run - cheer - walk!
