Heart of a Lion 5k

Run for our School!

This 5k walk/run helps the GDA Parent Teacher Fellowship fund projects like: 

• Classroom Improvement Initiatives

• Playground Equipment Enhancements

• New Family Welcome Materials

• Painting/Interior Design Projects

• Landscaping/Exterior Updates

• ... and so much more!!!

Gloria Deo Academy is a Christian, classical academy located in the greater Springfield area that partners with parents to educate students in a historic biblical worldview through a rigorous classical curriculum. GDA is developing ethical and wise students who will impact the world for the glory of God!

The Heart of A Lion 5K is hosted by GDA’s Parent Teacher Fellowship. The PTF is a parent-led organization that exists to support the mission of Gloria Deo Academy. We are thrilled to support the many amazing students, teachers and leadership at Gloria Deo Academy through service projects that will help us make school improvements.

We want to THANK YOU, our 5K runners, walkers, guests, volunteers and especially our sponsors, who have made this event possible so that we might be able to provide GDA with some key improvements to benefit their incredible students!

Please stay for the Party! 

At the conclusion of the race we will have a GDA party in the gym! All are welcome. Light & healthy snacks & fruit-infused water will be served and we'll give awards to the top runners from the following categories: 

• Overall Winners: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place 
• All Over 50: 1st place
• Men & Women's 26-49: 1st place in each division
• Men & Women's 18-25: 1st place in each division
• Men & Women's 12-17: 1st place in each division
• All 7-11: 1st place
