Description

Calling all runners, walkers, and those who love a fun Columbus fundraiser put on by local greats Colin Krieger and Doug Pellum. Get ready to help the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library System wrap up the 2021 National Library Week by signing up today for the Pi K / 0.5K Race!

Pi K / 0.5k is the premier fun, family event of Columbus, MS! This fun race benefits the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library System and the work they do for our communities, city, and county. This will be a fun event that will consist of a 0.5k run - that is just over a quarter of a mile distance, .314 to be exact. Runners will line up behind the downtown library - located at 314 7th Street North - and make their way up a small incline on 3rd Avenue, where they will then hang a left and run in front of the First Baptist Church, then hang a right and run to the Lowndes County Courthouse to the finish line! Runners can choose to dress up like their favorite book character or they can choose to be color bombed along the route (think Color Run here). Or they can choose both or just come as yourself!

From the finish line, racers will transition to Zachary's for some extra fun!

Registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt!

Kids 15 and under run free but do not get a shirt!
