Following her passing in July 2015, just shy of her 90th birthday, we launched this event in August 2016 as a tribute to her compassionate spirit and as a way to find solace in her loss. Over the years, this race has grown into more than just a 5K—it is a cherished tradition that unites our community in celebration, remembrance, and support.
