The annual Grateful Nation Montana's Freedom 5k Run/Walk on July 4th continues to be a tradition for many families and friends! The surviving children of our Fallen Montana Military Heroes who were killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan Wars benefit from all Freedom Run proceeds. 100% of every $1.00 you give goes directly into the children's educational fund. All general and administrative costs at Grateful Nation Montana are covered by the board.
The Run/Walk is open to all ages and abilities, and is a great opportunity to come together to remember and give thanks to all of our Military families before Bigfork's 4th of July parade. Families and friends gather at Lake Baked around 8 a.m. for check in and the start of the run/walk at 9 a.m. The Freedom Run/Walk heads out along the beautiful and scenic Wile Mile Nature Trail. Competitive Timing is out at the start and finish line and is found right in front of Lake Baked. At the finish line everyone enjoys Cookies and medals! A Freedom Run t-shirt is guaranteed to race participants if they register before June 20th, 2021.
If you would like to be a part of the Freedom Run and not interested in the walk/run we'd greatly appreciate your help to make the event a well oiled machine, we welcome you to visit the Volunteer page on the tab to the left and sign up! Thank you for your interest and we look forward to seeing you on the 4th at 8 a.m. for check in!
