Course description and Wildlife:

The 5k and 10k is mostly flat terrain. A wide trail sufficient for two way runner traffic. The 25k is flat to rolling for the first 5 miles with a wide trail or dirt road. Miles 5 -10.5 are hilly and a single track trail. We ask all runners to run on the right side of the trail giving right of way to runners coming back to finish line. As in all areas of  Montana there is the possibility of interacting with Wildlife on the trail, including but not limited to Bear, Mountain Lion, Moose, Elk, Deer etc... Race director and volunteers will be on the course before the race starts making some noise to warn any wildlife of our presence and away from the trail. However, I carry pepper spray on all my rural and trail runs in Montana and recommend that others do the same. Be safe and have fun!
