Description
Message from our Executive Director:
Due to the uncertainties and ongoing challenges of COVID-19, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Moore Buick GMC New River Splash and instead, offer a virtual option. Please know that we did not want to cancel and waited as long as possible before making the call to do so. We hope many of you will take advantage of the virtual option to gain points in the 2020 JOSC Race Series. We are also very pleased to partner with the United Way of Onslow County CHEW Program and 20% of registration fees will be given to them. We have also set up a donation page just for them for anyone that would like to make an additional donation.
You will see below that the medal is the same as last year’s medal (for those that participated) with a new 2020 ribbon. Like many of you, we have been affected by this shutdown so we hope you understand our “recycling” of the medal. The 2020 medals that were ordered are amazing and we will use those in 2021 (with updated ribbons) when we are back to a physical event and hopefully larger numbers. This will also help our bottom line. As a 501(c)3 non profit, we are unsure how our budget may change in the future.
Thank you for your understanding,
Scott Smith

United Way of Onslow County CHEW Program
The CHEW! Program assists children in our community by providing backpacks filled with child-friendly, easy to prepare meals over the weekend. Every week, volunteers from the community pack the backpacks, which are distributed to children on Friday. Since it’s creation, schools across Onslow County have been looking to replicate this successful model.
