Miles for Music

What better way to spend a weekend than visiting the Crystal Coast!  Start the weekend off right by joining us on May 17, 2025 for the 6th Annual East Carteret High School Band Miles for Music 5K and 1 mile fun run/walk.  We are pleased to continue to offer the option to run/walk with your dog, celebrate overall age bracket awards, and new this year we are excited to offer an option of women's cut t-shirt sizes!

Be a part of this annual event and experience beautiful, historic downtown Beaufort with a morning run (or walk) down Front Street. 

Proceeds generated from event sponsorships and participant registration will directly benefit the East Carteret High School Marching Mariners.  Your participation will help our band purchase and upgrade instruments, purchase band equipment, provide financial assistance to band students, and also support additional needs of our band program.  

All participants registered before May 1, 2025 are guaranteed to receive a race t-shirt and swag bag!  Participants who register after May 1st are not guaranteed a t-shirt or swag bag and may receive one based on availability.  Don’t delay, register today!

Awards:

5K Overall Female age 18+ (1st and 2nd place)

5K Overall Male age 18+ (1st and 2nd place)

5K Overall Female under 18 (1st and 2nd place)

5K Overall Male under 18 (1st and 2nd place)

Course:

The in-person event will offer beautiful waterfront views along Front Street as you run (or walk) along the 5K (or 1 mile) course in historic downtown Beaufort, NC.  An easy, flat course with wheelchair accessibility makes this a great opportunity for first time runners.

Swag Pick Up:

Race swag bag pick up will be only available on the morning of the race starting at 7:00 am.
