STM Knights 5K Fund Run

The 5K will be run on the campus of St. Thomas More! The course will begin and end on the soccer field, and will consist of three 1-mile loops! Maps will be available on the morning of the race!

Our fundraising goal of $40,000 is very attainable if each family donates a comparable amount to what they would spend to take their family out for a nice event. As a point of reference, we will raise over $40,000 if each student raises at least $100. We recognize that some students will raise more and some students will raise less than $100 each; overall, we hope it averages out to be at least $100 per student.

Individual Prizes

• Students will receive a promotional race event sticker upon registering from their homeroom teacher.

• Students who raise $50 will receive a Knights wrist sweatband from their homeroom teacher that can be worn at school and on race day.

• Students who raise $100+ will receive an event theme cup with candy and a free dress down day pass from their homeroom teacher.

• We will divide the amount raised per family by the number of students in the family to determine how much each student raised in donations. Families have the option to collect cash and check donations from friends and family (green donation sheet and return envelope will go home via kidmail the week of September 11th). Alternatively, parents can direct friends and family to make a donation on the main Donation page of the race website. Please be sure to return the green donation sheet and any cash/check donations collected NO LATER THAN Wednesday October 4th.

Class Prizes

• The first homeroom class to reach 100% participation (all students register to participate in the 5K) will receive a free dress down day.

• As each homeroom class reaches 100% participation (all students register to participate in the 5K) the class will choose between an in-school movie for a half-day, extra recess, or a free night of no homework. The prize and date of reward will be agreed upon with the teacher. 

• The homeroom class that raises the most money will receive a week of free dress down days. Dates will be prearranged with the teacher and the administration.

Platinum Knight Sponsor

Platinum Knight Sponsors will be featured prominently before, during, and after the race weekend on the race website, race event social media and in all event communications. Platinum Knight Sponsors will be listed in bold type at the top of the race day t-shirts. St. Thomas More School students are encouraged to wear their race t-shirts each Wednesday this school year. Race t-shirts will be visible around town as students from Chapel Hill, Durham, Pittsboro, and Hillsborough attend St. Thomas More Catholic School. Platinum Knight Sponsors are also eligible to further promote their business by adding a merch item(s) to the event swag bags, which will be given to all local participants. $500

Green & Gold Knight Sponsor

Green & Gold Knight Sponsors will be featured before, during, and after the race weekend on the race website, race event social media and in event communications. Green & Gold Knight Sponsors will be listed in smaller type at the bottom of the race day t-shirt. STM students are encouraged to wear their race t-shirts each Wednesday this school year. Race t-shirts will be visible around town as students from Chapel Hill, Durham, Pittsboro, and Hillsborough attend St. Thomas More Catholic School. $250
