Description

Join Us for the 4th Annual Monet Richardson Community Foundation 5K Run & Walk: "Running with the Angels"

Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025
Location: East Chapel Hill High School, Chapel Hill

This event brings together community supporters, families, and volunteers to make a positive impact on local youth. Together, we raise awareness and support for our mission of providing backpacks and academic scholarships.

Founded in honor of Kristian Monet Richardson, who tragically passed on May 16, 2021, MRCF is dedicated to continuing her legacy of philanthropy and making a difference in the lives of families, one youth at a time.

Optional: Wear angel wings for our “RUNNING WITH THE ANGELS” inspiration.

Schedule:

Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2025! Early check-in starts at 8 AM, with the race beginning at 9 AM. Please arrive early to meet our sponsors and learn about their services. Don’t miss out on raffle prizes featuring hotel stays, restaurant gift cards, jewelry, and more—tickets are just $20 each (cash or credit only). You must be present to win!

Top Finishers!

Although this is a race to bond our community - we will of course have winners! For the top 3 finishers in the Male & Female categories, they will be awarded medals. The top 2 overall winners (1 male, 1 female) will receive a wonderful gift basket donated by Raising Cane's with ~$100 worth of merchandise and gift cards! Other miscellaneous prizes will be given to the other top finishers.

Work on your run time to partake in these wonderful prizes!

Online pre-registration ends on April 25 at midnight. Onsite registration opens at 8 AM at East Chapel Hill High School: $35 for adults and $20 for students (18 and under). Strollers are welcome! Our timing company responsible for timing the race will be Roadless Races, led by Jim Harman!

Enjoy pre- and post-race workouts and stretches provided by Fleet Feet Carrboro & Durham. The Chapel Hill Police Department will be on-site to ensure safety along our USATF-certified 5K course.
