Description
Come run and walk with us to fight Leukemia & Lymphoma and other blood cancers! Register online or same day registrations will be accepted the day of the event-cash or checks payable to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society only. Register by February 9th to receive a race shirt with registration! The Polar Ninja 5k is a timed run to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at McAlpine Park. You can run, jab-step, kick-walk, or be as fast as lightning if you choose. Ninja costumes are highly recommended! Gift cards will be awarded for best Ninja costumes. Prizes for Top Three Overall Finishers, prizes for top finisher by age group and door/raffle prizes! Proceeds of race benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and are tax deductible. Rain or shine. Registration fee is non-refundable.
Did you know every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer and every 9 minutes someone loses their life to blood cancer? Did you know that Leukemia is the second highest cause of death of children and young adults under the age of 20? The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has funded over 1 billion dollars to advance cancer therapies and save lives and many treatments are now helping other types of cancers.

This will be a timed race.
Athletic Trainer: An athletic trainer will be available at a medical tent located near the finish line.
Water Stations: Water will be available at the registration table.
Race Souvenirs: T-shirt if registered by February 9th!
Cash and checks payable to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society accepted race day.

About the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
For the past 65 years LLS has funded over $1 BILLION dollars to innovative cancer research and the results are proven! Lives are being saved, but there is still work to do. Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.
