We’ve all been affected in one way or another by “isms.” Racism, sexism, classism, ableism—the list goes on. As part of TIAA’s Be the Change initiative, we’re hosting a race to come together and take a stand against the “isms” holding the world back. And that’s a race we want to win.
When you sign up, you’ll have the opportunity to nominate a student for one of five $1,000 TIAA Race Against Isms Scholarships. We’re looking for difference makers who demonstrate leadership and progress in the space of “isms” or social justice. Any university or college student that attends a school in North Carolina is eligible for nomination.
Registration is FREE for university staff and students, and each participant will receive a moisture-wicking shirt with their race packet (while supplies last).
Packet Pick Up
Packet Pickup will be held on Saturday 10-15-2022 at Run For Your Life
10am-4pm

Packets may also be picked up the day of, starting at 7am, at the race check in table.
Scholarship Information
This Scholarship is created to recognize five (5) students from colleges and universities in North Carolina that play a leadership role in the fight against social injustice in their community. Students must be nominated and self-nominations are permitted. Deadline for Nominations is September 14th 2022.

COURSE MAP & VENUE LAYOUT
Parking will be free of charge and in the Union Deck 8755 Student Union Lane, Charlotte NC 28223
Event Festivities will be held across the street from the parking deck at the Hauser Alumni Pavilion at UNC Charlotte 8931 Cameron Blvd Charlotte, NC 28262.
Festivities begin at 7:45am in the Registration/Festivities area. Age Group awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will follow directly after the 1 mile Fun Run is complete.
